When you first step into World of Warcraft’s housing system, you’ll need to claim a plot and build your home using the tools provided. The housing feature is part of the Midnight expansion and allows players to purchase and customize houses. For those who don’t own the expansion, it’s still possible to visit friends’ homes, but to decorate your own you’ll need to purchase Midnight. Start by selecting a neighborhood and claiming a plot; neighborhoods host about 50 houses and offer communal spaces for socializing. Once you claim your plot, you can customize the exterior of your house and expand it by adding rooms. With this new system, players can transform their home into a cozy space reminiscent of Animal Crossing or Minecraft by collecting decorations, earning House XP, and unlocking additional floors or wings.
